EPEAEK 2000-2006

Following the 26689/27-11-2006 Invitation from the Office of the Special Operations of EPEAEK for proposals under Measure 2.6. "Programs Environmental Protection and Environmental Education", which is jointly funded by 80% from the European Social Fund, Energy 2.6.1. "Programs of Environmental Protection and Environmental Education" and Class Acts 2.6.1.i "Programs at Natural Environment Protected Areas" the Management Agency of Mount Parnon and Moustos Wetland submitted a proposal entitled "Environmental education program in the Ecological Park of mount Parnon - Moustos wetland for students and teachers". This project was included in Measure 2.6. "Programs of Environmental Protection and Environmental Education" particularly in Class Acts 2.6.1.i of Energy 2.6.1 of EPEAEK 2000-2006.

The ultimate beneficiary of the Act is the Management Agency of Mount Parnon and Moustos Wetland, with a budget of 21.250,00 € and implementation up to 30-06-2008.

The aim of the program was the meeting with the educational community, primarily inside the limits of the protected area of the Ecological Park.

The program relates to education-training of teachers and developing daily or three-day educational programs and information and also visitations of students and teachers in the area of the Ecological Park of mount Parnon - Moustos Wetland. This area includes all the zones of the Ecological Park.

The program was implemented under the responsibility of the scientific staff of the Management Agency, which trained teachers on the subjects of the Ecological park, and the Environmental Education Package. Then depending on the chosen proposal of the teachers (development of programs daily or three-day educational information) they accompanied teachers in the classroom and in outdoor visits to Parnonas.
