Environmental Information Centre of Kastanitsa

The Information Center of Kastanitsa is still under-construction and it is located within mount Parnon, in approximately equal distance from both main entrances to the Ecological Park and its mainly subject is the use of mountain ecosystems by humans.

On the premises of the Center there are:

A Hall of Environmental Interpretation
Key themes, underlying the excibition, are the following:
- The position of Parnonas in the southernmost edge of the Balkan region.
- The long-term human presence in mount Parnon, its very good adaptation in the local conditions, and its effects on plants and animals.
- The need for preserving the natural and cultural heritage of Parnonas.
