Operational Program

The Operational Program "Environment" (EPPER) is one of the 24 programs of the Third Community Support Framework (2000-2006) for Greece and it is financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Competence of the Special Operations Office of the Operational Program "Environment" is to follow and implement the law 2860/2000, so as to ensure efficiency, rationality and transparency in the implementation of the Operational Program "Environment".

EPPER started for the Management Body in the early 2006 and was terminated in December 2009. The objectives of the project of the Management Body of Mountain Parnonas and Moustos Wetland was to preserve the natural environment, the cultural heritage and promotion of the Ecological Park of Mount Parnon - Moustos Wetland.

Overall, the project included 17 subprojects with a final budget of 1.081.031,71 €:

  4. Supervision of the protected area (former subproject)
  5. Information - Awareness of the public

  9. Transfer water to the water tanks of the Ecological Park of Mount Parnon-Moustos Wetland
  10. Opening fire roadsin the area of Moustos Wetland

  12. Cleaning of forests roads in mount Parnon

  14. Coating and maintainance of a water tank in the monastery of Agioi Anargiroi, Municipality of Oinountai
